My 1st Photoshop drawing/coloring attempt.

Yes, this was my 1st Attempt in my Character design, Jacklyn's serious sidekick, Xeldin. Actually I'm somewhat pleased with the coloring. The inking lines, ehhhh not so much. I prefer them to be thinner, that way the color and shading looks much more natural and really pop out. But like I say, it's my 1st attempt. It possibly looks like his eye is somewhat off, but really I was sampling the coloring which came out fantastic. I can say I'm actually proud of this somewhat imperfection :D

Character Design- Inspiration

Sean Galloway is by far my all-time favorite character designer. Some of his most popular works are primarily superhero characters which mainly fit into my final project. Lastly, his art style is what I enjoy the most. It's every simplistic, neutral or somewhat light colors. Though not naturalistic in proportion size, it makes the design rather peculiar and interesting to the human eye. Currently, he works as a lead designer for a Cartoon series Scooby Doo Mystery Inc. and his last production, The Amazing Spiderman.

The Opera Piece!

Well after some hard work, and. . . Some accidents along the way, I have finally completed a piece i actually fell accomplished in. I won't lie to you folks, it drove me crazy. But, luckily I have friends and loved ones to keep me sane during the process. I hope you enjoy it! Sadly, I cannot find a music file to sync within the piece. And for that my sincere apologies! D:

Meaning: I wanted to give the viewers of this play a perspective. The musical piece, Scusi Signorina is about a mother wanting and wishing to aid her dying daughter to see a doctor, but in order for her to do this she must obtain a passport to enter into the states which is a aging process. She can no longer wait but there is not much they can do. The Girl and Wolfcrow gives us that perspective of wishing to help the little girl in the film, but within the view of the audience, there is nothing of which the viewer can do to help.

Operation: Opera screen!

As for my project. I want to make a sketch animation for my piece, almost similar to the, "For The Birds" by Lilli Carre. As well on the animated piece it will have some splash of wet painted canvas colors to describe the emotions that play about in the piece *Could be possibly done in After Effects once the animation is done*

Something that is similar to this but, it get's a brief idea of what I want to do.

Colleglypse is here.

Okay, It's been about well a long time since I ever picked up a magazine and actually well, read one. Probably have to scramble one from my whole picture files. As well this week is chaos week In that case I declare there are many things to be done, such ass. . I mean as. . . .

  1. Find a magazine layout that i actually like
  2. Enough procrastinating, DO MY ART ESSAY!!!
  3. My Hungry Hungry Hippo *With Teeth* Project in Design II
  4. Study for my 1st Test in Art History *I.E. Reading the book*
  5. Do my resume, which in all honesty I have no Idea how to do that. And in desperate need of the help *sigh*
  6. Finally, come up with 12 entries this week.. RAWR!!!!!
 And when that's all done....
  • Remodel my logo
  • Remodel my Vector me into a anime version meh!
The Colleglypse is here... And sooner then I though it would be.

No matter what age..

Oh casper Casper, no matter what you do. Even if you come to the stage of being in a wheelchair. You'll always be a . . . . .

SUPER TROOPER!!!!!!!

What inspires me!

Would have to be the Italian artist, Simone Legno, and his brand Tokidoki®. Bringing a bubbly artistic Japanese, feel to his artwork. Even though majority of his artwork has nothing to do relativity in meaning. But, the randomness as well as the memorable 'cute' characters pay off in many of his creations. Even making Marvel® Tokidoki's as well (Hence the Captain America with fast food products)

These photos is as well one of the prime examples of the randomness that is partaken or just has no meaning what so ever. But the vibrant colors and uniqueness makes it entertaining for both the creator and the person viewing it.

After Effects to the max!

Freddiew is one of the most top rated Youtube members of all time. On average bring 10 million view per upload. As well worked on the Modern Warfare 2 commercials as well the upcoming Moder Warfar 3 and Battlefield 3 Comedy commercial takes. With the use of a portable Green screen and Adobe After Effects, this can possibly be the true potential of using Adobe After Effects!!!

Adobe After Effects- JUMPER tutorial

Seen, the film Jumper? Okay okay. Many can say the movie wasn't that 'blow my socks off' but the whole 'jump' effect was pretty awesome? Why not make it yourself? Even you can decided to poof from the face of the planet. Or just jump to McDonald's and back to your dorm.

Kevin(Kaosalive)

Shadows Of The Day - Kaosalive
I have to say, Out of all pictures, I love his photography the best. The lighting that reflex and backdrops on the surface gives it a whole mount of depth. Actually many of his works vary with light differentials. These just happens to be my favorite out of the bunch. Very much similar to a Texan atmosphere during the fall seasons.

The vector

Yes, I would have to say this was by for the funnest. And after looking at some Illstration videos. It's not all that bad, though mines I will have to say personally, is terrible at the moment. But like my dad says, "Better for you to try then to have never done it."

Before

After *Somewhat altered a bit*

Okay okay I wanted to but in the eyes, but oddly it didn't want to cooperate with me for hours when I attempted to do so. But, for my actual official vector. I want to make a cartoon version of me, since its more of my interest and animated personality to be a toon, haha.

Carry your emblem to battle!

Thought they are two pieces in progress. I generally have the jest of what I particularly want for a logo. I want it to be unique with bold colors as well have a since of a more modern culture intake without it being too grungey. Though these colors can be change to any interpretation, it's a calm, laid back, and a welcoming color. For the name, Colat. Comes form the mixture of two words. . .

Cool. Cat.
Remove the extra "O" and "C" And you have
Colat! *without accents* So you say it out it's spelled (Co-lat)

Tuesday, September 6, 2011

And thus Colat was born.

Ahh yes, Tobin Wolf. The creator of the most legendary American cartoon series of all time. Yes I am talking about the Thundercats® For he was my big inspiration of how my logo and brand came to be. But not the cartoon, but for it's prestigious emblem.

Thundercats! Pictures, Images and Photos
One, I admire cats of all shapes and sizes, even contributing hours in helping rescue endanger big cats in my community service years of high school. It speaks to me, the perfect infinity shaped circle, the color that speaks of alertness to give attention to let everyone and all know, that it is there. Bold and solid. The simplistic shaping format that only conjors 3 shapes draws it to my most attention. How something so simple, can make one of the most timeless and memorable emblems to this date. Where i located this was on http://www.thundercatsfans.org/ a site to decimated fans of the franchise as well hist history resource if that suits your fancy.

Grand Opening

May I take the time to state. YES! I have my first blog prepared and ready to flaunt about in it's epicness. Okay okay, It's not looking like much at the moment. But, trust me it'll get better. Now for all the cat daddy's and duchesses, welcome to the pad! Now opening for business.
